KING AIR 300/350 Ab Initio Second-In-Command Pilot for Intelligence, Reconnaissance and Surveillance (ISR) OCONUS Rotation Work:

Job Description

Avenge, Inc. is seeking Ab Initio Second-In-Command Pilots for its OCONUS ISR King Air 300/350 flight operations. The primary work requirement will be to pilot King Air 300/350 or similar aircraft overseas supporting the Department of Defense in hostile work zones. Our work is typically, but not exclusively, ISR. Standard rotations are approximately 60 days on 60 days off. Candidates must meet our high standard of excellence for safety, piloting skills, crew resource management skills, and customer relations. Living and working conditions are often austere. Work locations are subject to change on short notice. Candidates must have strong professional interpersonal skills and team player attitude.​

US Department of Defense Security Clearance Required Prior To Start of ISR Aircraft Training

If selected, an Ab Initio candidate must pass a pilot proficiency examination and attend our new hire orientation. During this time, the new hire will complete human resources documentation. If you do not possess US DoD security clearance of Secret or above, you will submit an application with the Department of Defense to initiate the security background check. The security clearance background investigation generally takes between 120 and 360 days. Once the background check is favorably determined, you are expected to attend our next full In-Processing class.

18 Month Commitment from Primary ISR Aircraft and ISR PQC Training End Date

Upon receipt of the security clearance, the Ab Initio candidate will begin a 10-12 week orientation and intensive ISR and King Air 300/350 training course. We have designed a proprietary Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Pilot Qualification Course (ISR PQC). This training will provide an SIC type rating. Upon completion of this training, you will have an 18 month commitment to actively fly OCONUS rotations for us. You are expected to go on your first OCONUS rotation soon after completing this training. First OCONUS rotations are 90 days. Thereafter, you will be scheduled for regular rotations of approximately 60 days at the OCONUS work site, 60 days off for rest and relaxation.

Minimum One Year Commitment to Serve as an SIC

You will have a one year commitment to serve as an SIC starting from your first day of piloting at the OCONUS work site. At the one year anniversary, you are eligible for upgrade to PIC. The decision to offer upgrade is based upon a pilot’s experience and on-the-job performance. The experience required to achieve PIC status is a minimum of 1000 hrs PIC any aircraft, with 300 hrs PIC in a Similar Aircraft Type to the King Air 300/350. By the end of the eighteen months of active flying, we anticipate a pilot participating in the Ab Initio SIC Program will have accumulated approximately 900 total hours of flight time including approximately 500 hours of PIC time.

Aviation Prerequisites

  • Four year aviation related degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 500 hours of Pilot in Command time
  • Must hold at least a Commercial Fixed-Wing Multi-engine pilot license with an Instrument rating
  • Must be a Certified Flight Instructor with 250 hours of flight instruction experience

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must possess a current passport
  • Must possess a valid state drivers license
  • Must read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must possess an FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a USA Department of Defense security clearance at the Secret or Top Secret level

​​Note: Avenge operates a variety of aircraft. You may be assigned to different aircraft as required by the company.

Excellent Pay and Benefits package

Pay during training: $18 per hour + per diem and lodging during training. When you attend our full In-Processing and ISR PQC, you should work approximately 50 full days and earn approximately $7,200.

SIC pay:

$24 per hour + per diem (location dependent), + hazardous duty and hardship pay. At an average of seven months deployed during the first 12-months after training, one can expect to make approximately $70,000.

PIC pay:

On an annual basis, first year PIC pay is approximately $150,000 working 180 days at the OCONUS site and completing the travel and training requirements to support this rotation work.
